Library Clerk - Sturm Memorial Library in Manawa

The Sturm Memorial Library is currently accepting applications for a library clerk. The library clerk is responsible for circulating materials, answering reference questions, maintaining patron confidentiality, handling monetary transactions, and assisting with programming.

Candidates must be 18 years of age or older and hold a high school diploma or the equivalent. Courteous customer service, good organizational skills, and excellent computer skills are required. Experience with children and young adults is beneficial.

Training for library specific tasks will be provided. The library clerk will work about 16 hours per month plus additional time as needed to staff the library in the case of programming, training, vacation, or illness. The library clerk will work primarily during library open hours. Special events may require working outside of this schedule a few times per year.

Part Time Librarian - Marion Public Library

The Marion Public Library is seeking a qualified, energetic, service-oriented, and dependable individual with professional customer service, interpersonal skills, and computer skills to fill a temporary part-time librarian position. This position consists of about 25 hrs./wk. from mid-May to mid-August.

Primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: assisting staff with carrying out library/outreach events, assisting patrons with reference questions & technology needs, answering the phone, checking library materials in & out, shelving & organizing library materials, making copies, and sending faxes. The ideal candidate will be organized, flexible, dependable, and team-oriented while being respectful and courteous to all patrons.
